Frequently Asked Questions
All your questions answered.
What do I need to be ready for the meeting?
Our online meetings are held using Zoom videoconferencing. If you do not already have the zoom meeting client installed on your device, you will be asked to download it when you click on the meeting link. You can also download it in advance by going to https://zoom.us/download and selecting the first link (Zoom Client for Meetings).
Can I join in on my mobile device?
Yes, you can join the meeting using your mobile device if you want. However, if you have a laptop available we would recommend that option as this allows for a richer online meeting experience for all participants.
I don't want to show my screen or talk - can I still join in?
You don’t have to talk unless you want to, and you’ll get a good sense of how we try to approach addiction and, we believe, feel supported and encouraged!
We would encourage you to enable your camera and microphone as this will make the meeting a richer experience for everyone in the room. However, you are not required to turn on your camera or microphone and can just 'observe' the meeting if you prefer.
Are the meetings recorded?
No - for security and confidentiality purposes we do not record any of our online meetings.
